Brammo Empulse R - front

U.S. company Brammo has several electric motorcycles on offer. One of the models is the Empulse R.

 

 

 

 

 

 

In addition to its attractive design, which is not very different from internal combustion engines except that runs on batteries and has IET 6 speed gearbox with multi-plate, hydraulic activated wet clutch and band regenerative braking. In combination with a liquid-cooled, Parker GVM IPM motor, power of 54 hp at 4,500 rpm and maximum torque of 90 Nm. Such transmission should provide better performance and driving feeling is closer to the classic motorcycle and a and increased efficiency of electro-bike with conventional direct transmission. Final drive direct chain drive (14/48) 520 O-ring chain.

Battery is Brammo power BPM15/90 Lithium-Ion, 9.31 kWh capacity (nominal), 10.2 kWh (max) of 103.6 V. Charging takes 8 hours, and the fast charger to 3.5 hours. A top speed of 169 km / h, driving range is 195 km. Weight is 213kg. Front brake dual 310mm Brembo floating disk with twin four piston hydraulic Brembo brake calipers, radial mount and rear brake Brembo single disk with dual piston hydraulic Brembo brake caliper.

Aluminum frame Brammo E-Beam tubular steel, front suspension fully adjustable 43mm Marzocchi forks and rear suspension fully adjustable Sachs shock. The instrument panel includes an LCD display, speed, tach, odometer, gear position, energy consumption, battery status, estimated range and system status.

Colours: True Blood Red, Eclipsed Black, White Noise. Empulse R version will come out first and so far only the U.S. market.
