KTM Duke 690 turns philosophy with fun bike in a completely new direction to the naked motorcycle. The biggest changes compared to the previous series is the position of the driver’s seat , as the real naked, the seat is much lower, the fuel tank is much higher and is accomplished feeling to sit in the engine.
Engine displacement is 690cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder two-stroke, one camshaft and four valves. Electronic fuel injection, 6-speed transmission and clutch with multiple discs in oil bath. Power of 70 hp at 7500 rmp and torque of 70 Nm at 5500 rmp.
The frame is made of steel pipes chrome molybdenum, front suspension WP USD forks diameter 43mm, rear suspension oscillating fork with shock absorber. Wheels 17″ front tires 120/70 rear tire and 160/60. Front brake with 320mm floating disc, and four-piston calipers, rear brake disc of 240mm and a single piston. Weight 149.5 kg Fuel tank capacity 14 liters.
New Duke is fully equipped with parts list Power Parts: frame protectors, Akrapovic exhaust composition, arm guards, seat, side panels, bracket table. Fuel tank now looks like a naked motorcycle. Can be ordered and transparent plastic sides and seat set lower for those who have less growth. Duke 690 features a new exhaust system with two pots and the front fork of smaller diameters.
This single-cylinder has enough torque and power while others are sensible vibrations. In the curves goes very quickly and the lower mass motorcycle feels in every maneuver. The instrument panel is almost identical to the previous version only added light for ABS and information on the display in which the transmission ratio are.
